On April the 12th & 13th, the Mobile Bay Kayak Fishing Association will be hosting the 1st Annual Gulf Coast Kayak Fishing Seminar/Workshop at Alabama's newest Delta Resource, 5 Rivers in Spanish Fort.Kayak anglers from across the Gulf Coast will be descending on Alabama's Delta to hear lectures and view exhibits on kayak fishing, navigation, conservation, kayak rigging techniques and much more.
On the 13th, Mobile Bay will be invaded by kayak anglers, as attendees are able to join 3 fishing trips. One will give the kayak angler a chance to explore the Delta while fishing for bass, flounder, specks and redfish. Another will take kayakers to Dauphin Island to fish the Gulf for shark, white trout, specks, flounder, redfish and more. While the third will explore Fish River and its tributaries for specks, bass and bream.
Attendance is free for all members of kayak angling or paddling clubs, members of the U.S. Military and members of the Alabama Coastal Fishing Assn. Attendance for the public is $20/per person. Preregistration is preferred, but not mandatory.
